As the OSPG investigates options for the establishment of a representative body  for Victoria’s outdoors sector, it is actively seeking the input of all interested groups, organisations and individuals.

Interested parties are encouraged to consider the following questions:

  1. What should be the objects or mission of any outdoor industry body?
  2. What are the gaps in the current peak body representation or delivery?
  3. What key functions and services should a peak body perform?
  4. How can a peak body ensure representation of voluntary, education, not-for-profit and commercial members?
  5. What is the balance between member services, strategic policy representation and other demands from a peak body?

Any additional suggestions, comments or ideas are also welcome.

Any contributions, questions or ideas can be emailed to submissions@outdoorssector.org.au.

I recently participated in a face to face discussion session with Insideout Strategic and thought that the time spent was quite worthwhile.

Although I have had some reservations I found that the facilitators were well informed, open to a wide range of options / thoughts and that, with adequate stakeholder participation, should be able to provide us with a useful report on which to base our decisions for the future Strategic directions of the Outdoors in Victoria.

Get in there and have your say! Your opinions and ideas will be listened to.
